Josh M. Blane

Attorney

Touro College, B.A.
Rutgers Law School, J.D.

Josh went to law school in order to pursue his vision of making the world a safer and more just place by protecting the rights of society’s most vulnerable members: the injured, the sick and the accused. This vision, coupled with his experience in personal injury, criminal defense and civil rights litigation, make him an ideal advocate to assert the rights of those who often go unheard. Josh’s practice strategy is guided by his belief that obtaining favorable results for his clients is not a game of chance but rather, that each successful outcome is a hard-won victory.

Josh is passionate about protecting the rights and wellbeing injury victims—inside the courtroom and out. Josh has volunteered his time for over ten years as an emergency medical technician with community-based organizations and employs his medical knowledge to better serve his clients and master the details of their treatment and medical records.

Standing up for “the little guy” is a role Josh relishes. Josh is a proud alumnus of the Rutgers Criminal and Youth Justice Clinic. There, he enjoyed an undefeated record fighting criminal charges while providing pro bono representation to indigent individuals. Adhering to the mantra that there is no adversary “too big” or “too powerful,” Josh also fought on behalf of incarcerated youth in New Jersey for greater educational opportunities and increased family visitation. Josh’s criminal law background has served as an excellent proving grounds for his courtroom advocacy and oral argument skills.

Josh has also been recognized as an excellent legal writer, having served as an editor for the Rutgers Law Record and having had his own scholarly work, Drowning in Data: How the Federal Rules Are Staying Afloat in a Flood of Information, one of only a select few works published in the Journal’s 2017-18 edition.

Prior to joining the Gray Law Firm, Josh served a coveted one-year appointment as law clerk in criminal trial court. There, Josh worked on numerous homicide, human trafficking, sexual assault and other criminal cases.

By zealously defending the rights of the accused and jealously guarding the rights of the civilly wronged at the Gray Law Firm, Josh continues to advance his vision of protecting public safety and pursuing justice with every case he handles.
